Three times more severe than the 2004 tsunami

We took emergency action the day after the disaster to help victims in Sri Lanka.

Décember 2025 : SIGIRYIA, NEGOMBO, CHILAW

SIGIRYIA: Isuru, our Coordinator, distributed emergency food supplies to families affected by the floods.

NEGOMBO: The team on site was able to acquire tools and equipment to clean houses and deliver food.

WILAGEDARA: At the time of the floods, 84 elderly people were living in this retirement home. Tragically, 13 women lost their lives.

Our team cleaned up the mud, replaced much of the equipment and refurbished the facility.

CHILAW: The funds allocated were used to help a primary school. This small school has just over 150 pupils. The team renovated and painted the five buildings and repaired the furniture (tables, chairs, etc.), with the active support of the pupils' parents.

November 2025 : BADULLA

Part of the aid was entrusted to the relief team of former students of YATIYANA College, led by the Headmaster.

They travelled to the mountains of BADULLA, one of the worst-affected areas, to clear the disaster zones and distribute essential food supplies.

We need your support to continue helping these relief teams. Thank you very much for your generosity.

The situation is dire: more than 2 million people affected, fields and rice paddies flooded, and considerable material damage.

Cyclone Ditwah is now the worst natural disaster in the country's history, surpassing even the tsunami.

Our local contacts, including the team at Yatiyana MV College led by Headmaster Indika Mahanama, are fully mobilised on the ground.

Sri Lanka needs our help now. Please share this message and help us protect lives.
